About the Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Administration & Accounts Officer to join our Corporate Services Team. Reporting to the Manager Corporate Services, this role involves a mix of administrative, bookkeeping, and staff support responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining smooth operations and supporting a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Bookkeeping:

  • Accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll, and credit card payments.

  • Prepare and run financial reports as required.

  • Provide monthly and quarterly bookkeeping support for Breed Societies.

  • Liaise with factories and herd contractors regarding finance queries.

Administration Support:

  • Relief and backup for BREEDPLAN data entry.

  • Provide support for ACGEA matters, including export certification and reporting.

  • Assist with Work Health & Safety (WHS) activities, injury management, and workers’ compensation.

  • Backup and relief for the Administration Officer, including reception duties and monitoring the main phone line.

Clerical Tasks:

  • Perform banking tasks as required.

  • Provide general clerical and administrative assistance.

About You

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounts management, including payroll and reconciliations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
