About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Breed Secretariat Executive Officer to join our team. In this role, you will deliver high-level executive, secretariat, and project support services to ABRI’s agribusiness clients, primarily livestock breed associations. You’ll play a key role in managing communications, implementing strategies, and providing strategic advice to help clients achieve their strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Executive and Secretariat Support:
Manage the business of breed associations in alignment with their constitutions and regulations.
Provide secretariat services to associations, branches, and regional groups.
Maintain financial and administrative records, including accounting and finance duties.
Member and Stakeholder Engagement:
Deliver efficient member services and respond to general inquiries.
Liaise with association members, show societies, and industry stakeholders.
Represent ABRI and clients at national and international forums.
Marketing and Communications:
Develop and execute marketing plans and advertising schedules.
Manage websites, social media, and promotional items.
Create advertisements using platforms like Canva.
Design and distribute circulars, annual magazines, and other communications using tools like Mailchimp.
Event and Project Management:
Plan and oversee association events.
Develop and evaluate administrative systems and procedures to optimize efficiency.
Industry Collaboration:
Foster relationships with other breed associations and stakeholders, such as Meat and Livestock Australia and gene testing laboratories.
About You
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Experience in executive support, marketing, and event management.
Experience in Microsoft Office, accounting software packages and database management programs- experience in using ILR2 is highly desirable. Proficient in digital tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms.
Knowledge of livestock or agricultural industries is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
